On Tuesday, I got up and went to the Arch in the morning. It is tall and impressive and beautiful and crowded, but well designed to handle it. I took the tram to the top and looked out east and west.

In this photo, note the Mississippi River has spilled into the river walk.

I then turned from the river and visited the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Sitting on ~78 acres, it is a place of beauty, knowledge, and love. It is clear that Shaw's Garden (original name) has been formed by layers of care laid down, kneaded, and worked in with dirt and seed over generations and generations. I came back on Wednesday to see more and take a guided tour. Worth it. I glad I spent the time to see as much of his as I did, I could spend more time here, and at other museums, but what I had was inspiring.
