I travelled up north of Cincinnati because Dunham Sports advertised bicycles on its website. This store, sadly set in a withering half-empty mall, did not sell bikes. Dejected, I sat moping at Wendy's for an hour. Walking back to the motel, I passed a Home Depot and Target and thought, "why is it so hard to find someone to give money to for a bicycle. These big boxes sell tons of stuff. What's the biggest? Wal-Mart. Where's a Wal-Mart? I have no idea. Wait, Target is a version of Wal-Mart. I should check." I did and found the bike section. Purchased it, a U-lock, and helmet.
Stayed the night ready to test it out the next day.
