I found the Windows XP desktop.
Easy, relatively short walk southwest to setup my approach on Cincinnati. At one point, a herd of cows and calves took interest in me (rare) and ran along their fence line en mass with me. Ran. Bizarre and fascinating. About sixteen miles in an older man offered me a ride the rest of the way. With memories of desperately wanting a ride fresh oh my mind I graciously accepted - though I didn't much need the relief this day. He drove an older red pickup and told me of hitchhiking back to Ohio from Florida over a week or so. I ended the day in Mount Orab, Ohio.
